Before proceeding to the Live Demo, a little theory is a must.

divides the whole organization into business areas. A business area can be a department or a process in your organization.

Each business area can have different sets of fields, users, permissions on the fields and  business rules.  You can select a business area from the dropdown available at the top of any page.

User login:

To login as a user provide user as the login and user as the password.

As a user, the following things may be done in the live demo:

  1. Add an issue by clicking "Add Issue" next to "My Issues".
  2. Update an issue by clicking on "Update Issue" available at top of the issue details view.
  3. Search for a request either based on keyword or other filters like status and severity.
  4. See the various reports available at the following URL: http://demo.mytbits.com/reports

Administrator login:

To login as an administrator, please use root as login and root as password.

Almost every aspect of tBits ITS is configurable using Administrator Interface which will open on clicking "Administration" link available at the top right of the screen.

As an administrator, the following things may be done in the live demo:

  1. Know the various business area configurations using The Properties tab.
  2. Create a new business area using the link Create Business Area on the Properties tab.
  3. Create new users using the All Users tab.
  4. Add newly created users to a business area using the BA Users tab.
  5. Assign roles to a business area user by selecting Roles under the BA Users tab
  6. Give various field-level permissions to a role using the Roles tab.
  7. Add new fields using the Add Extended Field link under the Fields tab
